How we handle your personal data

Who we are

This website is run by BM Educators and Services S.L. ("BM Autoescuela", "we"), C/ Wagner 61, 08914 Badalona, Barcelona, Spain. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run and protect the site.

• When you use the Contact form or "Book a lesson": your name, your phone or WhatsApp number, the course you are interested in, your preferred centre, the language you want us to speak, and anything you write in the message box.
• Technical data: your IP address, used for a short time to stop the forms being flooded with automated submissions, and recorded in our server logs.
• If you are a student or staff member and sign in: the account details the school holds for you. That data is covered by your enrolment or employment terms, not by the public forms above.

What we do not collect

• We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking on this website.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you want, arrange lessons or a course. Both enquiry forms ask you to tick a box agreeing to this before you send, and we rely on that consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; we will then delete your enquiry.
• To keep the website secure and working (our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who can see it

Enquiries are seen by our administrative staff, who are notified by email when one arrives, and by the teacher of the course you asked about. Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf under contract. We share nothing else unless the law requires it.

Services contacted when you visit

• OpenStreetMap: the map of our centres loads its map images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address.
• WhatsApp and Google Maps: only if you follow one of our links to them. Their own privacy policies then apply.

How long we keep it

We delete every enquiry automatically 12 months after we receive it. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and then deleted. If you enrol, the details you give us at enrolment are kept under your enrolment terms, not under this policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give you a copy. You can also object to how we use it. Send your request to contactus@bmautoescuela.es. We answer within one month.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
